Chicken Cordon Bleu Pasta

I flora a groovy recipe for chicken a piece dorsum agone from Paula Deen's magazine.  It is slow to brand together with tastes great.

Recipe:  Source-Cooking alongside Paula Deen Magazine (Nov./Dec. 2008)

For the chicken:
3 boneless skinless chicken breasts (pounded to 1/4 in. thickness)
1 loving cup panko
3/4 tsp minced fresh thyme
salt together with pepper
1 tbsp mustard (regular or Dijon)
1/4 loving cup olive oil

For the pasta:
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic , chopped
3/4 loving cup chopped deli ham
2 tbsp flour
salt together with pepper to taste
1 1/2 cups one-half together with half
1/2 loving cup shredded Gruyere
3 cups cooked fettuccini

In a shallow dish , combine panko , thyme , common salt , together with pepper.  After pounding chicken ( I produce this within a ziploc bag) , brush both sides of chicken alongside mustard.  Dredge chicken inward panko mixture.  Heat two tbsp of olive fossil oil inward skillet together with create chicken for iv minutes.  Add remaining olive fossil oil to skillet , plow chicken , together with create for iv to a greater extent than minutes.  Remove chicken together with permit residual earlier cutting crosswise.

For the pasta , estrus butter together with olive fossil oil over medium heat.  Add garlic together with ham together with saute for two minutes.  Add flour , common salt , together with pepper together with create for two minutes stirring constantly.  Gradually add together one-half together with one-half reducing estrus to medium low.  Stir oft together with create for iv to v minutes until thickened.  Add cheese together with create until it melts.  Add cooked pasta together with toss to coat.  Serve alongside chicken.
